On Tuesday 29 September 2026 we deployed a huge website update on myjobscotland.

While we have fixed a number of issues, we are aware that some issues remain following the upgrade and our developers are actively working to investigate and resolve these as quickly as possible. We’re sorry for the disruption and appreciate your patience while this work continues.

We will update this page regularly as more information becomes available and issues are resolved.

Apply Button Not Working

In the case of some applicants the apply button appears to do nothing. You should firstly try using an incognito/private browser window or clearing your browsers cache as you may be seeing a cached version of the site with an error. If you are still experiencing this issue it is likely your account has been archived.  This happens when your account is over 5 years old. If you experience this issue please contact myjobsupport@cosla.gov.uk for your account to be reset.

Current update:
We are aware of this issue and are working on a fix which will displays the specific error message.

Dropping the "www." from the beginning of the link allows access.

Increased number of search results

The way the keyword search functions has been updated to also include the advert description. Whilst you may see more results, the most relevant will be displayed at the top. This helps if an advertiser is not using the same name/title for a specific role.
